Our company name BluC 53 comprises of various elements which are important to the thinking philosophy of the Team.
BluC refers to the rich Blue Sea out there thriving with numerous opportunities for Companies to engage in and build growth for their businesses, we believe in the abundance mindset and a world that has enough for everyone.
The number 53 comes from p53, also know as Tumor protein P53 which is a regulatory protein that prevents cancer, in more than 50 types of caners. When mutated, cancer can form and thus p53 has been described as “the guardian of the genome” because of its role in conserving stability by preventing genome mutation. Read more on p53.

Our Logo shows an Eagle breaking of the circle, demonstrating that our clients in the Government, Companies and Academic Institutions can break out of their limiting conditions if given proper guidance and support which our Team can provide. The Eagle has many characteristics we can emulate, in the height of a storm, the Eagle uses the strong winds to lift them higher and glide on it. The Eagle has got extremely sharp eyesight and great vision, making them expert hunters. They can spot a small animal two miles away with amazing clarity and combined with a 340-degree field of view, this provides them great peripheral vision and we aim to equip our clients with the same abilities through consulting and training work.

Profile – Mr Anderson Tan, Chairman
Anderson leverages his profound expertise to provide strategic advisory services for project financing within the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) space at AmCap. His extensive network encompasses governmental agencies, industry associations, academia, and non-governmental organizations, solidifying his position as a prominent leader in the field of sustainable finance.
Anderson’s unique skillset blends an engineering mindset with entrepreneurial spirit and facilitation prowess. This, combined with his robust strategic management skills, allows him to navigate complex financial services with exceptional ease. He excels at creatively articulating and integrating these services, tailoring them to meet the specific needs and demands of each project.
Anderson brings over two decades of experience in enterprise development to the table. Throughout his successful career, he has thrived as a serial entrepreneur, venture and corporate investor, skills development expert, and a Practising Management Consultant. Anderson’s academic background is equally impressive, boasting a Master of Arts in Lifelong Learning and a Master of Engineering.
Profile – Mr Allan O. Gozon, Country Co-Head
Allan is an experienced Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the business and education management industries. Skilled in Business Planning, Operations Management, TQM, Strategic Planning, Learning and Development, and HR Management. Strong professional experience with an MBA from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and a Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of San Jose-Recoletos.
Profile – Dr Michael L. Abundo, Chief Thinking Officer
Dr. Michael Lochinvar Sim Abundo is currently the Assistant Director and Programme Manager for the Saab-NTU Joint Lab. The Saab-NTU Joint Lab conducts R&D in technologies like autonomy, data analytics, machine learning and systems engineering. Hence, staying at the forefront of high-end digital technology is essential to Saab’s development.
Dr. Michael has very deep experience of over 15 years in the Research, Development, & Demonstration (RD&D) Ecosystems of the Asia-Pacific Region working with the academe, industry, and government. He has contributed to the inclusion of Marine Renewable Energy into South East Asia’s Energy mix at various scales (e.g. energy harvesting, micro-grid, grid-tied/large scale)and for a spectrum of applications (e.g. vessel, ports, aquaculture, etc).
Dr Michael is handling R&D/Project collaborations between industry, academe, and government focusing on Digitalization, Data Processing and Management, Autonomous Vehicles (land, air, sea -surface and underwater), Internet-of-Things (IoT), Human Factors, etc in applications such as robotics, food security, resiliency, energy, defense, traffic management (air and vessel), sustainable operations, and the wider Blue Economy.
He has successfully initiated, executed, and handed-over a community-based energy intervention programmes especially for accelerated post-disaster recovery with a sustainability plan involving various stakeholders (e.g. NGOs, Academe, Industry, local gov’t).
Dr Michael was previously (2016 to mid 2019) the Programme Integration Manager at the Rolls-Royce @ NTU Corporate Laboratory, a joint investment of ~S$88million (Phase 2 – 2019 to 2023) and S$75 million (Phase 1 – 2013 to 2018) by Nanyang Technological University, Rolls-Royce and the National Research Foundation, Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore.
Dr Michael attained his PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of the Philippines in 2012 and has a Masters of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation in 2018 from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre (NTC).
Profile – Mr Andy Wee, Principal Consultant (Associate)
Andy is not only an accomplished engineering professional, but he also has a strong network in Singapore and the region. Through his extensive experience in the engineering industry, he has built relationships with key players in the tech and startup scene. Andy’s work with various tech startups has given him insights into the challenges and opportunities that entrepreneurs face in building successful businesses.
As the General Manager of IES-INCA, Andy is well-positioned to leverage his network to benefit the companies that the incubator and accelerator supports. He has built relationships with investors, mentors, and other stakeholders who can provide valuable resources and guidance to the startups in the program. Through his leadership, the IES Incubator and Accelerator has become a hub for innovation and collaboration, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts to drive the growth of the engineering and technology sectors.
Andy’s experience at HP Singapore has also given him a deep understanding of the engineering and manufacturing landscape in the region. This knowledge has proven invaluable in his work with the IES Incubator and Accelerator, as he is able to provide startups with insights into the challenges and opportunities that they may encounter as they scale their businesses.
Overall, Andy’s extensive experience, expertise, and network make him a valuable asset to the engineering and technology communities in Singapore and the region. His passion for technology and entrepreneurship, combined with his dedication to helping startups succeed, make him a true leader in the industry.

Ms Joy Koh – Principal Consultant (Associate) – Finance
With a passion for empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to build financially resilient businesses, Joy Koh has over two decades of diverse experience in auditing, accounting, business succession and exit planning.
She began her career in 2004 at Ernst & Young (EY) as an Auditor, gaining a strong foundation in financial reporting, risk management, and corporate governance. She later joined Keppel Corporation as a Group Accountant, where she expanded her expertise in corporate strategy and financial consolidation.
In 2012, Joy pivoted to focus on helping SMEs with business succession and exit planning, recognizing the unique challenges these businesses face in achieving long-term sustainability. She assisted owners in developing strategies to ensure their companies’ continuity, even after they step down or sell the business.
In 2022, Joy became a certified Value Builder Coach. Through the Value Builder System, she helps companies assess their current business value, identify risks, and strategies to increase that value. She empowers business owners to make decisions to enhance their company’s value, so that businesses can become more valuable and sellable.
Joy is also passionate about financial education. She teaches SME business owners and key management team about budgeting and financial modelling, helping them build financial resilience to navigate economic changes, regulatory shifts, and unforeseen challenges.
With her blend of corporate finance expertise, succession planning, and financial education, Joy is dedicated to helping SMEs thrive.
Mr Michael Tan – Principal Consultant (Associate) – Digital Technology
Michael is veteran of 20 years in the IT industry having developed multiple web, app and system solutions for various industries. He has experience in building scheduling applications, loyalty and rewards program applications, travel and transport applications, condo management applications, real estate management applications among many others. He is also a practicing management consultant who can support SMEs, Corporation in their Digital Transformation journey to gain greater productivity and advantage in the competitive business landscape.
Mr Shaun Kuan – Principal Consultant (Associate) – IT Leadership
Shaun has been in IT Management spanning over 40 years of successful experience in understanding and collaborating with business leadership to co-create IT solutions. Recognized consistently for performance excellence and contributions to success in manufacturing industry. Strengths in global IT organization management and business alignment to successfully meet business goals. He has experience with teams from various international offices, driving the implementation of various IT solutions of great complexity.
